Doctor Nguyen Dinh Bao is one of many Vietnamese people in Moscow who donated blood to save more than 100 people in critical condition after the terrorist attack on the evening of March 22.
On the evening of March 22, when thousands of Russians flocked to the performance of the band Picnic at the Crocus concert center, on the outskirts of Moscow, suddenly four terrorists attacked inside the building.
Terrorists not only opened fire on the audience but also used gasoline bombs to cause a large fire at the Crocus concert center.

By the end of March 24, the Russian Investigative Committee announced that 137 people were killed in the attack. More than 100 people are being treated at the hospital, many in critical condition.
Immediately after the attack, Moscow authorities issued a call for people in the city and surrounding areas to donate blood to save victims of the terrorist attack.
Responding to the call, from the early morning of March 23, thousands of Moscow residents, including Vietnamese people living and working in the city, went to blood donation sites for terrorism victims despite the rain. cold and had to wait at least 2 hours for my turn.
Among Vietnamese people donating blood in Moscow is doctor Nguyen Dinh Bao – Moscow Sechenov National Medical University. He donated 450 ml of blood to help give more life chances to victims of terrorism.

According to Moscow health authorities, nearly 3,000 people donated blood on March 23, collecting nearly 1,000 liters of blood.
“Most Vietnamese people in Russia want to help, even students have texted me asking how to register to donate blood to save lives. However, according to Russian law, only people with permanent residence registration can participate ,” Dr. Bao shared.
Also according to Dr. Bao, not only does blood donation save lives, the Vietnamese community in Moscow in particular and in Russia in general also contributes to the fund to support victims of terrorism organized by Sberbank.
“No matter how little or how much money, Vietnamese people always have a loving heart. Even when there are incidents in Russia, the Vietnamese association in Russia tries to support as much as possible, trying to integrate with the community.” host country community” , Dr. Bao added.

Sharing about the psychology of the Vietnamese community in Russia after the terrorist attack, Dr. Bao said that the community is also somewhat insecure and worried about the security situation in Russia and for themselves and their relatives.
After the attack, Russian security agencies will also increase document checks, significantly affecting the travel and work of some local citizens who do not have complete legal documents. This forces people to carry all identification documents when they have to go out.
This is the deadliest attack in Russia in nearly 20 years. Vietnam sent condolences to Russia, expressing “extreme shock upon receiving information about the brutal terrorist attack”. The United Nations and many other countries also strongly condemned the incident.
The terrorist attack on the Crocus concert center raises questions about the current security situation in Russia.
Experts believe that Crocus Center was chosen as a target because this is a crowded area when this building can accommodate up to 7,500 spectators and has a security fence that is not as high as other buildings in the center. Moscow.

The concert center is located in the complex and commercial center – Crocus City Hall, located nearly 20 km from the center of Moscow.
However, Dr. Bao and many other Vietnamese people in Moscow still believe in the security work of the local government. Especially after the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) also very quickly identified and successfully arrested the suspects.
Previously, on March 23, the FSB announced that it had arrested 11 people related to the attack, including 4 suspects who directly participated in the attack. The suspects were all arrested in the Bryansk region, bordering Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also made a statement to strengthen security and anti-terrorism and sabotage measures in Moscow as well as all regions of the country.
